CAREL presents QuickFinder, the selection tool for refrigerationapplications. This has been designed and developed for distributorsand installers, with the following objectives: - To provide auseful contribution in the field, when product information isneeded during installation or maintenance, such as parametertables, alarm tables, connection diagrams and instruction sheets,thus helping the installer in their every day work, and makingaccess to this information faster (and therefore less costly). - Tooffer a tool for selecting the most suitable solution: startingfrom the application (e.g. cold room, bottle cooler or refrigeratedcabinet), the App suggests the most suitable product, consequentlysimplifying the selection process for the distributor andinstaller. - To offer a CAREL alternative to other productsavailable on the market. Distributors or installers who want to usea CAREL controller for a specific application can now refer to atable with complete comparison of compatible instruments. Thecurrent version included: easy, ir33, ir33+ and MasterCella.

The ultimate app for air psychometrics and evaporative cooling!What are the air characteristics given the current values oftemperature and humidity? How can I calculate the mix of two airstream? What is the humidification load for my AHU? These are someof the questions this app can provide answers for, and, on top,also estimates of power saved by evaporative cooling. There are 9functions available inside the app: · AIR calculates thecharacteristic parameters of the air by entering 2 of the following4 values: dry-bulb temperature (DBT), wet-bulb temperature (WBT),%rh, humidity ratio. The outputs are: dew-point temperature,specific enthalpy, density, specific volume, vapor pressure, vapordensity · MIX calculates the characteristics of the mixture fromthe properties of two air streams (DBT, WBT, %rh, W, flow rate) ·HUMIDIFICATION LOAD 1 calculates the humidification load based onan air current upstream of the humidifier and a set point. Theoutputs are: the humidification load, the flow rate of the atomizedwater (only in the case of adiabatic humidification) and theconditions of pre-heating · HUMIDIFICATION LOAD MIX calculates thehumidification load from the mixture of 2 air streams upstream ofthe humidifier and a set point. The outputs are: the humidificationload, the flow rate of the atomized water (only in the case ofadiabatic humidification), the conditions of pre-heating, thecharacteristics of the mixture of the two air streams upstream ofthe humidifier · DEC (Direct Evaporative Cooling) calculates thecooling, as temperature and as power, of an air stream by theevaporation of water sprayed in it · IEC (Indirect EvaporativeCooling) calculates the cooling, as temperature and as power, of aprimary air stream by evaporation of water sprayed in a secondaryair stream that does NOT mix with the primary stream. The primaryand secondary streams pass through a cross-flow heat exchanger ·DEC + IEC calculates the cooling, as temperature and as power, of aprimary air stream by evaporation of water sprayed both in theprimary stream and in a secondary air stream. The primary andsecondary streams pass through a cross-flow heat exchanger WITHOUTmixing. The secondary stream is the exhausted part of the returnair. If the exhaust flow is less than the primary flow, the part ofreturn air not exhausted is mixed with the cooled primary air afterthe heat exchanger. · EVAPORATIVE COOLING calculates the additionalheat rejected by a condenser coil/dry cooler when they are sprayedby water, assuming that water completely wets the exposed surfaceof the heat-rejection coil. · AFTER THE AIR HUMIDIFIER IN AHU/DUCTcalculates the conditions downstream of the humidifier in AHU/ductonce the environment’s set point and internal sensible and latentloads are entered.
